Navaretnam and Sathiyaini were married late 2010 in Sri Lanka. There marriage
was arranged by their parents. They were to meet and celebrate their engagement
and then be married soon after.
After the traditional sari was made for the engagement they found out that a family
member was sick. They needed to shun tradition decided and meet at their wedding.
They had professional photos on this occasion however they never had the opportunity
to have professional engagement photos but they never had professional engagement
photos.
When they came to me they had recently moved to Australia, they wanted to formalise
their engagement with a professional photoshoot to send back home to family. They
wanted to wear theirtraditional clothing which had been purchased in Sri Lanka. It was
important to them to have some traditional shots and more relaxed images. As they were
sending an album back home they also wanted to feature their daughter, Kanisshka as
a product of their successful union and a reflection of their love.
Together we decided that we would focus on both engagement, family and a few
individuals of their daughter. In the book I would present an album of mostly formal
engagement photos. We would dedicate the final three pages to their daughter and
a couple of family photographs to capture the love they now feel for each other.
Navaretnam and his wife Sathiyaini wanted the chance to go back in time and follow a time honoured tradition by having photos to show their children and grandchildren of their engagement, their promise to each other to be married.

Final Folio
I have included 16 images.
The 2 text layers were placed on top of an image to splash colour on both pages.
I initially aimed to add 20 images however I wanted a clean cut album.
